At 78 years young, don’t look for Bengals owner Mike Brown to put the team his dad founded up for sale anytime soon.

A recent article from CBS Sports examined succession plans for NFL franchises, and Cincinnati was listed as a team that is “Looking down the road.”

Bengals fans are pretty wise to the fact that the Bengals are still a family-run business, and will probably continue to follow that organizational structure.

Jason La Canfora writes:

Bengals owner Mike Brown, 78, was literally born into the game in one of football’s great families, and his offspring have lived the same experience. In the event anything happens to him the Bengals will live on in his name, and the name of his father. His daughter Katie and son Paul are involved in the operation of the team in a very close manner and they embody the family-business model in Cincinnati.
